According to hard data, by the year 2050 the projection of the world's migrant population could reach more than 400 million people. Understanding this, the present course proposes to explore some current ideas formulated by current academia regarding the relationship between Christian thought and the problems faced by the migrant population in contemporary societies. Along with this, the course aims to explore those ideas based on Christianity that can respond to such phenomena. With this, conceptions such as the ius peregrinandi referred to by Francisco de Vitoria, and the integral humanism proposed by Jacques Maritain will be explored, with the purpose of understanding the diverse answers and alternatives of approaching such problematic.
