Observing a fragmentation of the Hispanic world after the processes of independence and their respective internal processes of transition to current societies, the main objective of the course is to lead a deep reflection on possible ideas of freedom originating from political and social experiences as alternatives to conceptions of freedom under the prism of disciplines such as economics that may even be reactionary. To this end, this course explores the realities and experiences of various countries in the Latin American space with respect to the results of conceptual approaches that allow us to
to recover or rediscover one's own path to freedom. In this formative transit, the thematic axes are raised as the conception of freedom under the prism of the viceregal model of the Catholic monarchy to the reasons and motivations for the reunion with a Hispanic conception of freedom, through axes such as crisis of the idea of Hispanic freedom before the fragmentation of the Hispanic community, and alternatives to the idea of Hispanic freedom after the birth of the republic.
