Presentación
Siguiendo la línea del pensamiento Occidental Cristiano, sustentada en la filosofía de Aristóteles de Estagira, Tomás de Aquino y Cornelio Fabro, la Universidad St.MAIU da inicio a la Facultad de Bellas Artes, reconociendo su crucial deber, en la labor axiológica, para el cuidado y desarrollo de la civilización occidental.
En un mundo trasformado desde las cúpulas ideológicas hacia las grandes poblaciones, que progresivamente han ido tergiversando el sentido común, el pensamiento crítico, los valores y virtudes, con sustituciones de lo obvio y natural por un relativismo y subjetivismo, en el que la verdad es “ninguna”, la belleza no “existe” y el bien es “cambiante”, con propiedades de carácter totalitario. Es en este marco que nace contra la corriente inmanentista hegemónica, la Facultad de Bellas Artes STMAIU.
La facultad de Bellas Artes intenta ser un faro de luz, de la claridad y verdad, belleza y bien, conociendo el real sentido y propósito del arte mismo, su conexión con la belleza como trascendental convertuntur junto a la Verdad y la Bondad, en justeza con las tres ciencias del espíritu: Arte, Filosofía y Teología; Semilla y núcleo cultural de toda civilización.
Esta facultad, ha puesto su esfuerzo en la recuperación y construcción de contenidos y metodologías que permitan revitalizar con la sabia de la tradición, el programa educativo en el arte, para la formación de los artistas de hoy y siempre, artistas integrales, artistas de bien; formados en una sólida base académica, aristotélica-tomista, para dar mejores y verdaderas respuestas a los desafíos del mundo.

D. in Art History. During his studies he was awarded a scholarship by the Andes Foundation and studied Bachelor of Arts in Painting at the University of Chile, with Augusto Barcia, Gonzalo Diaz Cuevas, Rodolfo Opazo Bernales, Adolfo Couve among others. In his informal studies in 1989 The Royal Art Society of NSW and with the Frenchman Michael Valeri, who led a group of artistic research inspired by the teachings of G.I.Gurdjieff. In Chile he continues and develops his own research work on historical painting techniques, in search of recovering the lost artistic legacy. With the intention of generating a truly solid base to continue from there the path of art. This leads to the creation in 1991 of "Arte Real", School of Objective Art. He teaches Realistic Figurative Painting workshops in the faculties of Medicine, Theater, Law, Engineering and Architecture of the University of Chile. Publishes articles in the University Magazine "Claridad". He gives lectures, organizes and participates in multiple group exhibitions in universities, schools and private institutions, disseminating the essential of the technique and the craft of historical realist painting. President of the Fundación Arte Real, Director and Workshop Professor at Arte Real Vitacura.
